Water features, fountains and the like hold a fascination for me as an artist so I enjoy painting these studies. As I paint, the image evolves into an almost life like study of the model frozen in time and stone forever holding their pose for all time. Coming from a fascination of the water feature and fed by my fertile imagination. I paint these studies of what I see, combined with what I imagine at the same time. Inspiration for this painting came from a visit to Toowoomba in Queensland on Australia's East Coast.
