I love to play games in my mind when setting up and painting still life images.
My imaginings follow. All the fruit gather around as close as they can to their favourite in the group. An apple who is a little pompous and full of itself and has begun to expect this sort of attention from all those in the group. The copper tray and old and somewhat not so perfect doily set a simple, but interesting story and base for the group to sit upon.
